The Mountain View Read-A-Thon kicks off on Monday, October 6th! 📚 Parents, be sure to help your student create their Read-A-Thon page—classes with 100% of their pages completed by Friday, October 10th will earn a special PJ Day on Tuesday, October 14th! This year, our goal is to raise $15,000 to support staff supplies, staff luncheons, STEAM activities, and other fun PTO events throughout the year. The Read-A-Thon will wrap up on Monday, October 20th—let’s read, have fun, and reach our goal together! 💙

Prizes
There are so many fun ways for students to win during our Read-A-Thon! 🎉 Students who raise $60 or more will get to visit the in-school prize chest, and for every $20 raised, they’ll earn an entry into a virtual raffle for a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card—one winner per grade level will be drawn on Friday, October 24th! Students who raise over $125 will be invited to a Pizza Party with the Principal, and those who read and log 350 minutes by October 25th will enjoy an Ice Cream Treat with the Cougar! 🍦🐾 Plus, the top two classes that raise the most money will earn $500 for their teachers to use for classroom needs, and any class that raises $1,000 or more will receive 10 extra minutes of recess each day for a week! 🌟

• Thursday, Oct 16th: 🏈 Jersey Day – Show off your favorite team’s jersey or colors!
• Friday, Oct 17th: 💙💛 Show Your Cougar Pride – Wear your Mountain View gear!
• Monday, Oct 20th: 🎓 Reading to a Bright Future – Celebrate the last day of the Read-A-Thon by wearing a college shirt or dressing up as your future career! 🌟
