Recycle Electronics at MVES!

We’re sure Santa and relatives brought many new and exciting electronic gadgets and devices to the families at MVES. What’s a kid to do with the old, unwanted systems?

RECYCLE THEM! It’s a fabulous tax deduction, helps MVES, and protects the environment!

Donate your used consumer electronics and unwanted, broken or mismatched jewelry at the MVES Recycling Station in the front lobby. Your used item(s) may be tax deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations. 100% of the proceeds will help fund our Encore Programs!

We are currently collecting the following items: Cell Phones, Laptop Computers, Inkjet Cartridges, MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, Digital Video Cameras, Handheld Game Systems, GPS Devices, Radar Detectors, Electronic Book Readers, Gold, Silver & Platinum Jewelry. We’ll be mailing these in soon, so don’t delay!

Please drop off any items you would like to recycle at the MVES Recycling Station outside the office door and/or send in to school with your child for recycling.

We greatly appreciate your support!
* Used cell phones bring MVES up to $350 in FREE MONEY!
* MVES receives up to $300 on used laptops/netbooks!
* Used ink jet cartridges earn MVES up to $5 each!
* MVES earns money for EVERY item turned in!

Earn Free Scholastic Books

Teachers can always use books for their classrooms. In fact, it was a top item selected when the PTO surveyed MVES teachers this summer. Here’s a great way you can earn free books for your teacher and your MVES student:

  1. Enter codes from specially marked Kellogg’s products (only available at Walmart) at www.scholastic.com/kellogg.
  2. Receive a $5 BookCoupon for every 2 Kellogg’s codes.
  3. Follow the instructions to choose your free books. This includes purchasing through Scholastic online, purchasing through the Scholastic flyers sent home by your teacher, or submitting BookCoupons to your teacher to redeem for books.

There is no limit – you can enter as many codes as you want.

What a great way to encourage reading!

Help Us Earn FREE MONEY!

The MVES PTO Free Money program brings in thousands of dollars each year for our school. And the best part…it doesn’t cost you a thing!   Here are the ways you can help MVES:

(click here to download the flier)
  • Box Tops: Just clip and turn in! Check all the items you purchase for the Box Top label. Cut out neatly around the dotted line and send in to school in a ziplock bag labeled with your Teacher’s name and the number of Box Tops. MVES receives 10¢ for each box top.
  • Capri Suns: Drink all of the juice, toss the straw, and place in a ziplock baggie with your teacher’s name and the amount in the pouch. MVES earns $.02 for each pouch turned in.
  • Tyson Chicken Box and Bag Labels: Another clip and turn in! Check all the Tyson Chicken products for the Tyson Project A+ label, cut out neatly and send in to school. MVES receives 42¢ for each label.
  • Phones & Ink: Send in your old cell phones, used ink cartridges, video game systems, laptops, MP3, digital cameras, digital video cameras, or GPS devices. They’ll be recycled and we earn free money—up to $350 per item! Good for the environment and good for us. This program is being offered through Cell Phone, Laptop, Gold & Silver Jewelry Recycling Fundraiser.

Collect Tysons Labels!

We have an exciting opportunity to share with you. We are taking part in a national fundraising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. called Tyson Project A+™. Through this program, we can raise as much as $12,000 for Mountain View this year! The money we raise can go towards buying books or computers, making improvements to our buildings, or anything else that we want.

All we have to do to participate is clip and save the entire Project A+™ label from participating Tyson products. Each label we collect is worth 24¢ for our school. A collection site has been set up in the lobby where you can drop off your redemption labels (or send to school with your child).

Let’s earn more FREE MONEY for  MVES! Clip and save Tyson Project A+™ labels today.

Do you GoodSearch?

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!
