Mark Your Calendars: Family Movie Night Nov. 12

Mark your calendars for a FREE Family Movie Night at MVES featuring Toy Story 3!

Sponsored by Virginia Commerce Bank, Family Movie Night is the perfect family night out. Toy Story 3 welcomes Woody, Buzz and the whole gang back to the big screen as Andy prepares to depart for college and his loyal toys find themselves in daycare! These untamed tots with their sticky little fingers do not play nice, so it’s all for one and one for all as plans for the great escape get underway. A few new faces-some plastic, some plush-join the adventure, including iconic swinging bachelor and Barbie’s counterpart Ken, a thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants and a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear. Watch the trailer on YouTube by clicking here.

Don’t forget to open your Cougar Bank Account while you’re there! The Cougar Bank, sponsored by Virginia Commerce Bank, encourages students to learn about savings with fun incentives…not to mention the 3% return on their investment that will surely boost their college (or car) savings!

The PTO will be selling hot dogs, popcorn, movie candy, and more with our concessions sponsor Harris Teeter.  We’ll have exciting raffles, spirit wear, the MVES Cougar Mascot, and the best, most affordable family night of the year!

We’ll see you at the movies!

Date: Friday, Nov. 12th

Location: MVES Gym

Doors Open at 6:30 PM.

Movie Starts at 7:00 PM.

Where are you?

OK Mountain View Families, it’s time to step it up!  To date, almost 100% of the lead teachers at MVES have joined the PTO.  100% of the teachers SUPPORT our initiatives at MVES and want to see our school do everything possible to reach our motto of educating life-long learners. These wonderful teachers are not only providing the best education to our children, but they’re also attending the events, participating in the fun, and doing whatever it takes to keep MVES the best school in the county (at least we know we’re the best!).

Where are you?

To date, only 34% of MVES families have joined the PTO.  It’s a parent AND teacher organization – and right now it’s only the teachers representing.  We can’t expect the teachers to do everything.  They need you.

Please get behind the PTO and join today!  Pass this on to your friends and encourage them to join.

All membership applications must be in by November 3rd to be included in the directory.
