The Mountain View PTO is not a program or department of the Prince William County Public Schools, but an independent organization which has obtained the approval of PWCS to support its schools, students, teams, programs, and extracurricular activities. All funds raised by the Mountain View PTO must be used for approved school purposes.

Beautification Proposal - January 2010
PTO Membership Form: To join the PTO, simply print and complete a membership form and return it to your child's teacher with your $15 membership fee.
Parent Volunteer Form: Includes descriptions of each event planned for the 2009-2010 school year and a chance to find out about the great opportunities available for you to get involved.

The PTO is now accepting orders for the 2009-2010 Mountain View Yearbook. Yearbooks are $23 a piece with a discount for multiple orders. Online ordering is also available thorugh this website. The deadline to order is March 26th. Order your 2009-2010 yearbook.Sponsor a Brick in Your Child's Name
MVES families and local businesses are invited to purchase personalized brick pavers which will be used to create beautiful seating areas outside of the school. What a wonderful way to commemorate your family's days at Mountain View. Purchase a brick by March 5th for the first installation of pavers on Earth Day 2010.Some additional ideas:

Art & Writing Contest - Deadline Extended to March 10th
Entries are now being accepted for Mountain View's 2010 Art & Writing Contest. The theme for this year's contest is "If I could give the world a gift ..." Mountain View students can submit works in the following categories (limit of two entries per category, per student):- Literature
- Photography
- Visual Arts
Age divisions for judging are Pre-K-2nd grade and 3rd grade-5th grade. All students who enter the contest will receive a Certificate of Participation and a coupon for $3 off open bounce times at Jumpin Jimmy’s in Haymarket. Medals will be awarded to winners in each category and age division, and all entries will be on display at the Kids Choice Awards Talent Show (see below).

Talent Show - March 20th at Battlefield High School
The MVES Talent Show is right around the corner on March 20th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Battlefield High School Auditorium. Dress Rehearsal will be held on Friday, March 19th at Battlefield High School from 4-7:00 p.m. Don't miss all of this year’s wonderful acts in this top-notch annual production.Next PTO Membership Meeting - March 23rd

The Cougar Bank is Mountain View Elementary School's student-run bank sponsored through a business partnership with Virginia Commerce Bank. Help your child learn the importance of saving while they watch their money grow with each deposit, and establish the important habit of saving a little each week. Plus, we make saving fun for our Cougar Bank members with special drawings each month, prizes for each deposit, and end-of-year give-aways! Students must have a Virginia Commerce Bank BEES Savings Account to participate in The Cougar Bank.
